Cyberchase: The Chase is On!
- Free with museum admission. Museum admission is $12 adults, $8 children 2-18. Children under 2 free.
Help the CyberSquad fight off dastardly villain Hacker with the magic of math. As Hacker attempts to overtake Cyberspace, are determined to save it in this out-of-this-world educational exhibit. Based on the Emmy award-winning PBS KIDS GO! math mystery cartoon, this fun-filled, active exhibit presents math in a kid-friendly environment.

Free Fun Friday at the EcoTarium

Visit the EcoTarium for free! We're saying goodbye to summer by participating in Free Fun Fridays, a special program that offers free admission to select cultural attractions throughout the state. Museum admission is free all day. Tickets for the Explorer Express train may be purchased at the train station and tickets for the Alden Digital Planetarium may be purchased indoors at the Information Desk. Train and planetarium tickets are regular price; group ticket pricing is not applicable on Free Fun Friday.

SkyWatch: Five Moons over Worcester
7:00 PM-8:30 PM
- $10 non-members, $8 EcoTarium and Aldrich Society members. $6 children (ages 16 and under).
View the crescent moon, along with the four Galilean moons of Jupiter. Double Stars Albireo and Gamma Andromeda should also be standouts tonight. Then it's time for some galactic action, starting with M31 in Andromeda, an equal to the Milky Way with more than 750 billion solar masses, a double nucleus and a 140 million mass black hole! Learn about our future gravitational interaction with this massive galaxy, which has devoured scores of neighbors. And meet M33 in Triangulum, one survivor of a close call!

Great Pumpkin Fest

It's the biggest Halloween celebration for families in Central Massachusetts! The annual family Halloween spectacular is back with creative displays of hundreds of carved, lit pumpkins plus free hayrides and train rides, a free digital planetarium show, games, animal encounters, pumpkin-carving demonstrations, crafts and much more festival fun. Friendly costumes welcome. Rain or shine.

A Polar Bear's Journey
12:30 PM-1:30 PM, 1:30 PM-2:30 PM, 2:30 PM-3:30 PM
- $6 per person plus museum admission, $5 EcoTarium members. Children under 1 year old are free. Museum admission is $12 adult, $8 child 2-18.
The magic of this hour-long event begins with storytime, featuring Chris Van Allsburgs classic winter tale The Polar Express. The holiday tale comes alive as children board the Explorer Express Train. Every child is given a bell to fill the afternoon air with holiday joy as Santa himself sends the train off to the EcoTariums North Pole for a visit with Kenda the polar bear. The return trip brings you back to the museum to warm up with hot cocoa and cookies. Be sure to check out the model railroad display of The Polar Express Train.
