ECOTARIUM ELECTS TRUSTEES AND CORPORATORS AT THE 199TH ANNUAL MEETING
Worcester, MA, October 22, 2024 – At the 199th Annual Meeting of the EcoTarium Museum of Science and Nature, the Board of Trustees elected a new Trustee, James F. Kane of Shrewsbury.
James F. Kane, Trustee
Jim Kane is the President & CEO of A.D. Makepeace Company, where he has served since 2005 in various senior roles before assuming his current responsibilities in 2019. He serves on the Board of Directors of Ocean Spray Cranberries LLC, the Massachusetts Maritime Academy Board of Trustees, and as the elected Town Moderator for the Town of Shrewsbury.
The EcoTarium Board re-elected two Trustees, Laura Beaton of Shrewsbury and Raymond Quinlan of Sterling to three-year terms.
Laura Beaton, Trustee
Laura Beaton is a Managing Director of Mortgage Banking at Berkadia, based in Boston, MA, and has 20 years of experience in multi-family finance nationwide.
Raymond Quinlan, Trustee
Raymond Quinlan is a WPM Lead Partner, Construction Manager, and Treasurer with over forty years of experience in the development and management of academic, healthcare, and corporate real estate.
The Board of Trustees of the EcoTarium elected its officers to one-year terms, as follows: Board Chair Joseph T. Bartulis, Esq.; Vice Chair Sean Mahoney; Treasurer David P. McManus; and Clerk Susan Nava-Whitehead, PhD.
Joseph T. Bartulis, Jr., Chair
Joe is a partner at Fletcher Tilton P.C. and is Chair of its Labor & Employment Law practice group. He advises clients on all aspects of the employer-employee relationship, and also advises employers that have unionized workforces. Joe serves on the Nichols College Board of Trustees, the Board of Directors of Catholic Charities Worcester County, and is a member of the Worcester County Bar Association.
Sean Mahoney, Vice Chair
Sean founded AndPlus, a Digital Transformation and Cloud-Native product development firm which was acquired by Ensono Digital. In 2024, he formed ThirtyNine Capital, a private equity firm. Sean also serves as an Adjunct Professor of Business at Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
David P. McManus, Treasurer
David is a partner at AAF CPAs and the leader of the growing Commercial Tax and Cannabis Business practice. David also provides market entry point consulting, advising international corporations and nonprofits seeking to do business in the U.S.
Susan Nava-Whitehead, Clerk/Secretary
Dr. Nava-Whitehead is an adjunct professor at William James College, and previously served as a Professor at Becker College and Associate Director of Nature’s Classroom of Massachusetts, Inc.
