ECOTARIUM MUSEUM ANNOUNCES NEW DATE FOR GALA
A Night at the Museum moves to the Spring of 2022
WORCESTER, Mass., September 14 – The EcoTarium announced today that their annual gala, A Night at the Museum, will be moved to the spring of 2022. The recent increase of COVID-19 cases in the community has led to the decision to change the date of the gala from October 2, 2021, to May 7, 2022.
“The safety of our attendees, staff, and animals always comes first. It is with a heavy heart that we have to move the annual gala. We were excited to have this gathering raise funds for the museum’s SCOPE program, but we decided to move the date after careful consideration. We look forward to continuing to plan for the spring date, and we hope that the community will join us in the spring to help raise funds to inspire the next generation with a passion for science and nature,” said Michael Halperson, Interim President.
The museum’s annual fundraising event supports the EcoTarium’s efforts for the Special Community Outreach Programs of the EcoTarium (SCOPE). The SCOPE program is the collection of programs designed to promote inclusivity and accessibility. The program provides families, educational groups, and social services access to the museum’s unique educational resources. Through opportunities such as camp scholarships, transportation coverage, and memberships for social services, these opportunities and more help increase accessibility to the museum for the community.
