Autumn Adventures: The Great Green Investigation

The green is disappearing… and we need YOUR help!
Something strange is happening to all of the green! As leaves change and plants prepare for the changing season, our resident scientist Dr. Chlorophyll wants you to be a detective for a day to help solve this colorful mystery.
Your Mission: Join our team and discover the science behind autumn’s beautiful transformation. Pick up your investigation kit when you arrive, and visit themed exhibits, shows, and activities around the museum to help crack the case. Once you’ve collected enough clues, stop by Mission Control for your detective certificate and a small take-home science experiment!
Ongoing Activities (included with admission)
- Leaf Logic Mission Control Center — Examine fall leaves and the science behind them as you embark on your investigation
- Glow Zone Secret Color Lab — Discover the wonders of ultraviolet light with hands-on glow-in-the-dark activities and a glowing “laser” maze
- Leaf Rubbing — Observe and capture the beautiful structures of leaves by making your own leaf rubbing
- Hibernation Station — Build a shelter of your own and learn how animals prepare for the changing seasons
- Fall Photo Stations — Take a photo with your group at our themed photo backdrops
