Alden Digital Planetarium (Temporarily Closed)

The EcoTarium is very excited to welcome back our members and guests to our wonderful outdoor experiences. As part of our health and safety precautions, we have closely followed the science of the COVID-19 pandemic, keeping in close contact with local, statewide, and federal health officials. We will continue to assess the situation as we plan for the reopening of our indoor, science museum experiences and we are hopeful that we will be able to welcome people back inside this summer. We feel very strongly that it is important for all of our staff, as well as all members of the public, to have the ability to receive a COVID-19 vaccination before we open our indoors. When we do reopen the indoor experiences, we will have all of our exhibits available as well as two, special to-be-announced short term exhibit experiences. We can’t wait to tell you more about it all soon!

A Tradition of Cutting Edge

Featuring Digital Light Processing technology from Sky-Skan, Inc., the EcoTarium’s planetarium uses images from NASA and the Hubble Space Telescope to create a three-dimensional solar system projected onto a 40-foot dome. With immersive surround sound technology from Bose, the planetarium offers a 360-degree, multi-sensory experience.
