Make a Gift to the Third Century Capital Campaign
Throughout 2025, the EcoTarium celebrated its 200th Anniversary! To mark this milestone, we are expanding our Museum! We added the 6,400 square foot Stoddard Exhibition Hall within the new 8,300 s.f. addition and are developing an Early Childhood Science Learning Center (late 2026/early 2027).
To fund this expansion, we have been in the “quiet phase” of a $12.5 million capital campaign since 2022. Through the generosity of local private foundations and major donors, we have already raised $10.4 million.
With just over $2.1 million left to raise, we are now “going public” with our campaign, and are seeking the support of individual donors, like you.
We call on our members, visitors, community partners and friends to join in supporting the EcoTarium’s Third Century Capital Campaign – Phase III. Please know, every gift matters.

Expansion Details
A gallery that can host major traveling exhibitions is critical for modern science centers. By constructing a new 6,400 square foot Exhibition Hall above the Museum's east wing on the Sundial Plaza level, the EcoTarium is eligible to host some of the most significant traveling exhibits available nationwide, including scientifically contemporary and technology-rich exhibitions and events. Fire suppression, accessible restrooms, and infrastructure upgrades are also included in this project.
The Stoddard Exhibition Hall opened in September 2025. We formally celebrated its opening with a gala on November 15, 2025 and announced the first major exhibition - The Secret World of Elephants - which will be on display on March 7 - September 7, 2026.
