Onsite Opportunities

Groups that visit the EcoTarium enjoy our exhibits, wildlife, and grounds, and have the option to book our Education Programs. From animals and astronomy to electricity, rockets, and beyond, our Education Programs are designed to combine fun and learning for your group.

Traveling Education Programs

If you are unable to bring your group to the EcoTarium, let the EcoTarium come to you! Our Traveling Education Programs are available September 4, 2018 - June 21, 2019.

Programs offer convenient, affordable, and unique science and nature learning experiences at your location. You provide the space and the EcoTarium provides a Museum Educator and all materials needed for hands-on exploration. (Look for the “It Travels” icon next to available programs.)

Night Journeys

For a unique and fun-filled educational experience, your group may be interested in our Night Journeys: Overnight Adventures program, where youth groups spend a night in our museum. Night Journey programs are packed with hands-on activities based on one of our exciting science themes and include a digital planetarium program. Overnight groups can even work towards scout badges and school curriculum standards based on their theme selection.

Wild Toys Animal Adventure

Another special add-on experience, Wild Toys Animal Adventure, offers smaller groups a more personalized program to learn about the natural behaviors of wildlife.

A special experience awaits your group to learn about the little-seen world of wildlife animal care. During these fun-filled, interactive adventures, participants first get to meet the animals that live at the museum and find out how they came to live here. You will also hear what the museum's wildlife staff does to provide them with top-notch care and comfortable homes.

Participants will learn how creative "enrichment" toys and activities are designed to stimulate an animal's natural behaviors. You will then construct enrichment toys for our animals and deliver them to an animal exhibit. Two to three animals are covered in each program, depending on the group size. This adventure is especially popular with scouts, youth groups, homeschool groups and family outings.
