Volunteers are the backbone of everything that we do!
Whether you are an individual looking for gratification while learning new skills or part of a team coming out for a Corporate Volunteer program, we need help to keep many aspects of our museum running smoothly.
We simply could not offer everything we do here that makes the EcoTarium a unique resource to our community without our diverse and dedicated volunteers. Our volunteer needs change throughout the year and certain positions require a minimum commitment. You can learn more about specific volunteer opportunities by clicking any of the drop downs below.

Group & Corporate Volunteers
Are you looking to make a difference in the community with your co-workers? We offer several corporate volunteer opportunities that will not only help you give back, but also build teamwork and unity within your organization. Volunteering is a great way to get out of the office and spend the day immersed at our museum.
Volunteer groups provide valuable support to our Facilities/Maintenance staff. Future planned projects that we would welcome help with include: painting various interior or exterior spaces, detailing fleet vehicles, mulching, weeding, raking, and reorganizing or cleaning out closets, storage areas, and sheds.
Additionally:
- Volunteer groups should consist of 10-100 people who can follow instructions and work independently.
- All group members must be at least 16 years old.
- Groups typically volunteer for a one-time, 1-day event, or can choose to make volunteering a recurring event (once a week, once a month, etc.).
- Groups are encouraged to carpool when possible.
- Best days for volunteering are weekdays, Monday through Friday. We regretfully cannot accommodate groups on Saturdays/Sundays at this time.
- Hours to volunteer are between 9:00 am and 3:30 pm. Groups don’t have to volunteer for a full day, but should commit at least 3 hours of their time.
