Group Visit Prices

• School Groups (All groups from a public or private PreK-12 school, or an accredited Early Education and Care Program, visiting during regular school or class time)
  • $10 per person for 10+ students
  • Free admission for chaperones up to EcoTarium required ratio (see below)
  • $10 per person for chaperones beyond EcoTarium required ratio (see below)
• Non-School Groups (E.g., home school groups, after school programs, day care, parks and recreation groups, summer camps, scout groups, college groups, family reunions, adult groups, senior groups)
  • $12 per person for 10+ people
• EcoTarium Required Group Ratios
  • 1 adult chaperone for every 5 visitors of preschool age and below
  • 1 adult chaperone for every 8 visitors in grades K–5
  • 1 adult chaperone for every 10 visitors in grades 6–12
  • 1 group leader for every 5 group members for groups of individuals with disabilities

Add-On Experiences:

Enhance your group’s experience with these additional options:

• On-site School and Group Programs: $8 per person, PreK–8 or by request. Minimum 20 participants.
• Alden Planetarium: $6 per person for 10+ people. The Alden Planetarium seats 80 guests. All guests ages 2 and older are recommended to wear a mask inside the planetarium. The EcoTarium will provide masks for all space travelers.
• Explorer Express Train (seasonal): $5 per person for 10+ people. This 12-minute ride offers a fun tour around the EcoTarium grounds. Chaperones must join groups on the train.

Group Visit Policies:

Blackout dates may apply for certain programs or group visits. While group visits can be scheduled year-round, blackout dates may apply for add-on programs. School and group programs may not be booked during Worcester Public School Holiday Vacation, Winter Vacation, and Spring Vacation Weeks. Administrative charges may be assessed for special requests.

Please note that reservations made less than two weeks from visit may be subject to restricted program options.

Reservation Information and Payment Policy: When possible, a non-refundable deposit of 50% is due 4 weeks prior to the visit date. Final attendance is due 1 week prior to the visit date. The remaining balance is due by the day of the visit. All students, teachers, and chaperones must be included in the group reservation and paid for by one person by check, cash, or credit card. Purchase orders are only accepted for on-site field trip programs and must be submitted for the full amount at least 4 weeks prior to the visit date. All fees are non-refundable. Day-of refunds will not be processed if you arrive with fewer than booked.

EcoTarium membership, promotional coupons, or library passes cannot be used toward group General Admission, free admission or add-on experience fees.

Reschedule and Cancellation Policy: The EcoTarium will work with groups to reschedule on-site visits if a delay or cancellation is caused by unforeseen and unavoidable circumstances, or by events beyond the reasonable control of the group. This may include but is not limited to severe weather and public health policy.
